AV artist Matthew J Watkins has created an immersive version of Lucy’s solo show Expressive Deviant Phonology (2007) using light and sound. Remnants from the 2007 show were acquired by Birmingham Museum’s Trust. They are displayed here for the first time, alongside archive film footage highlighting the temporary nature of Lucy’s murals and indeed the city.

The installation combined framed artworks integrated with archive footage of the paintings being produced using Madmapper and 4 projectors
